Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 –5 medium potatoes boiled and mashed
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies finely chopped (optional)
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil for filling
  • Oil for frying
  • Water as needed (for dough)
  • Fresh cilantro chopped (optional, for garnish)

Method
 

  1. Knead flour, salt, oil, and water into a smooth dough and let it rest.
  2. Sauté onions, green chilies, and ginger-garlic paste in oil until golden.
  3. Add spices and mashed potatoes, cook for 3–5 minutes, then cool.
  4. Roll dough into semi-circles and fold into cone shapes.
  5. Fill cones with potato mixture and seal edges with water.
  6. Deep-fry samosas in hot oil until golden and crisp.
  7. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with chutney.
